Delete your OwóBook account and data

You can delete your OwóBook account and everything stored in it, from inside the app, at any time. Deleting is permanent and cannot be undone.

Delete inside the app

1. Open OwóBook and sign in.
2. On the Home screen, tap the shop icon at the top right to open your Shop screen.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account (in red).
4. Read the message and tap Delete. If you signed up with email and password, type your password to confirm. If you signed in with Google, choose your Google account again when asked.
5. Wait a moment. When it finishes, you are signed out and returned to the sign-in screen.

What is deleted

• All your invoices
• All your customers (names and phone numbers)
• All your items (names, barcodes and prices)
• Your shop logo
• Your shop details: business name, phone number, bank account details and invoice counter
• The record linking your account to your shop
• Your sign-in account (your email or Google sign-in with OwóBook)

What is not deleted

• Receipts, images and statements you already sent or saved, for example in WhatsApp or on other people's phones. We cannot take these back.
• Temporary receipt or statement files on your own phone. Your phone clears them, or uninstalling the app removes them.
• Data that Google's advertising service holds under Google's own policies. It is not stored in your OwóBook account. See Google advertising.

If you used Google sign-in, you can also remove OwóBook from your Google Account under Third-party connections.

Can't sign in? Ask us by email

If you forgot your password or cannot open the app, email Ibn.abdulwahabu@gmail.com from the email address you signed up with. Use the subject OwóBook account deletion and include:

• the email address on your account, and whether you sign in with a password or Google;
• your business name and shop phone number.

We may ask a question to confirm it is you. We will delete your account and data as described above and confirm by email within 30 days.
